food of the christmas in Australia

Food of the christmas day

If meeting Santa is on your Christmas to-do-list then a trip to Rovaniemi in Finland is a must. The village in Lapland, located just north of the Arctic Circle, has become known as the Christmas HQ -- where kids and adults can make gingerbread cookies with Mrs. Claus or enroll in Elf School.

Hello I'm Abdullah I will talk about the Christmas day and the kind of the food in Christmas day in Australia .
Christmas lunch in Australia, dinner refers to the evening meal in Australia is based on the traditional English and North American versionsHowever due to Christmas falling in the heat of the Southern Hemisphere's summer, meats such as ham, turkey and chicken are sometimes served cold with cranberry sauce accompanied by side salads or roast vegetables. Barbecues are also a popular way of avoiding the heat of the oven. Seafood such as prawns  lobster and crayfish are common, as are barbecued cuts of steak or chicken breasts, drumsticks and wings. In summer Australians are also fond of Pavlova, a dessert composed of fruit atop a baked meringue. Fruits of the season include cherries and mangoes. Introduced by Italian Australians Panettone is widely available in shops, particularly in Sydney and Melbourne.

Halloween

On Halloween when I go out on the street and find people of wearing scary or something of that sometimes I'm scared about it, becauseI heard a lot of scary stories about this today or I do not know exactly what the story really.

I've got a funny story in Britain whem they had a Halloween day I was in abroad and at the same time you do not know something about Halloween . I expected that they kidnap gang or something of this and while I walk on the street and found children Arabona and they told me a surprise or trick began running, fear and direction to the house quickly.

When the second day came I asked my friends and told them I had yesterday, I'm afraid, they laughed and they said to me that day they have called Halloween.

The Batman

My favorite movie is tha Batman.
The story of the movie.
Batman Begins
Establishing a secret headquarters in the caves beneath his mansion, Bruce became Batman, a Dark Knight to protect Gotham and its citizens from vice and villainy. Alfred Pennyworth remained his confidant, tending to injuries and offering sage advice - whether requested or not!
Batman became an urban legend, a cautionary tale that sent shivers through the city's underworld. This Caped Crusader found a friend in Captain James Gordon a Gotham cop who didn't approve of Batman's methods, but appreciated the results of his nightly crime fighting. Batman's Rogues Gallery grew to include a host of bizarre criminals, such as the Joker, Catwoman, Two-Face and the Penguin. As his enemies increased, help arrived in the form of another young boy left parentless by brutal crime.

shopping in dubai

The people of the UAE are vibrant and versatile and love to celebrate a number of festivals and events all round the year. In fact, fiesta is an integral part of the UAE culture. From religious to cultural festivals to internationally renowned shopping and sports events, the annual calendar of the UAE is dotted with many festivals and events. Among most popular festivals in the UAE include Ramadan, Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha. Most popular events in the country include the world-renowned Dubai Shopping Festival, National Day Festival, Dubai World Cup, Dubai Desert Classic, Dubai Summer Surprises, and Nokia Abu Dhabi International Jazz Festival.
Given below is a short account of major festival and events in the UAE.
Religious and Cultural Festivals

Ramadan: Ramadan is the month of fasting during which Muslims abstain from eating, drinking and smoking from dawn to dusk. Visitors are also advised to refrain from eating or drinking in public during daylight hours as a sign of respect.

Eid Al Fitr: Eid Al Fitr is the most popular festival for Muslims all over the world. The occasion marks the end of holy month of Ramadan and is celebrated over three days. It's a time for feasting and exchange of greetings and gifts.
Eid Al Adha: Eid Al Adha is the festival of sacrifice for Muslims and marks the end of Haj - pilgrimage to holy cities of Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia.

Various cultural such as concerts, music competitions, children's cultural programs, fireworks, exhibitions, camel racing etc. are organized all over the country.
Major Shopping and Sport Events
Dubai Shopping Festival: Dubai Shopping Festival is perhaps one of the most popular events in the world, attracting over 3 million people. First started in February 1996 by the Dubai Government, the month long annual event is the time for shopping, entertainment, and cultural extravaganza. Various events such as international fashion shows, children's programs, fireworks, film festivals, and many other cultural events are organized on this occasion. It's a great time for shoppers, as shopping malls have big sales and discounts.
Dubai World Cup: The Dubai World Cup is an internationally renowned annual horse racing competition held at the Nad Al Sheba. Dubai Shopping Festival started on February 15, 1996 as a retail event intended to revitalize retail trade in Dubai. It has since been promoted as a tourist attraction. This yearly month long event is usually scheduled during the first quarter of the year, attracting about 3 million people to Dubai.[1]
During Dubai Shopping Festival, shops offer deep discounts on their merchandise, daily car raffles are drawn, and fireworks light Dubai’s night sky. Tourists from all around the world are lured not only for Dubai's tax free shopping, but also for all of the events that take place during the festival. In 2005, the festival was cancelled due to the death of Dubai's ruler, Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. In addition to Dubai Shopping Festival, Dubai also hosts Dubai Summer Surprises.
Dubai - admired and called 'city of gold', the city of gold concept was coined during one of the Dubai Shopping Festival awareness campaigns, In 1996, Dubai invited everyone from all around the world to a global annual festival which came to be named as the milestone "Dubai Shopping Festival" or DSF, they came up with the novel idea of a global village, a shopping village was conceived with all nations participating with their wares and styles in their traditional or cultural ways, the immigrant ex pat population and the fly in visitors rejoiced in the celebration that took place and the promise was given that from then on every year Dubai will host a festival for people from all around the world. The years that followed brought in more visitors more exhibitors and now the stage were set to build on the reputation of hospitality.
Dubai shopping festival was segregated into many major attractions all with one purpose, to have as many ways of entertaining the guests to the city, and catering to each and every individual segment's visiting from around the world, the loyalty of the local expatriate populations definitely finds a reason to become even more attached to the city that brings to them their own culture every year.
Dubai Shopping Festival plays a vital role in Dubai's tourism industry. Apart from the direct impact it has on the tourism industry, Dubai Shopping Festival also contributes its share of importance into the nervous system of the emirate. With the rise of the number of visitors to Dubai for Dubai Shopping Festival, lots of potential immigrant talent and investment get to experience the luxury of Dubai.

King dom of Saudi Arabia

favorite country

Salam Alykom
That means hello in Arabic.  My name is Abdullah altamimi . I live in Saudi Arabia. My favorite country is Saudi arabia . Saudi Arabia is a large country in the Middle East.  My country covers about three-fourths of the Arabian Peninsula. We export more oil than any other country in the world.  My country is made up of huge deserts, coastal plains, oases, and mountains. Do you want to learn how we live here in Saudi Arabia?

The girls in my country are lucky to be able to go to school.  We weren't allowed to until the 1960's.  Here, most people can read  and write when they are 15.  All kids have two years of kindergarten, but now I am in intermediate school.  At the age of 6, the boys and girls split, and go to different schools.  I am kind of sad, because next year I will need to go to secondary school.  But I am also exited, because in my second year of secondary school I will get to take either a science or a reading and writing track.
Because we are Muslims and because it is always hot in my country (it gets to 120 degrees in the summer), we dress differently than people in western countries.  My mama wears a veil when she goes outside.  Some women don't, but Mama wants to.  She also wears a long robe.  It is called an abaaya.  When I'm older, I will wear the same thing as my mama.  My papa wears a long piece of clothing called a thobe.  It is made out of cotton.  In the winter Papa also wears a cloak to keep himself warm.  He also wears a hat called a gufra.  It keeps the sun out of his face.

We live in the city of Riyadh, which is the capital of Saudi Arabia.  My father works for the oil industry, and we are lucky to live in a high rise apartment building.  My uncle's family lives in a farm village. They live in a house made of sun-dried mud. They tend their herds of camels, goats, and sheep.  There are also nomadic (wandering) people living in our country. These nomads are called Bedouins. They roam through our gigantic desert with their herds of camels, sheep, and goats. They search for water and pastureland, and they live in large tents made of animal hides.  Wouldn't it be cool to be able to move your house (tent) whenever you wanted?
Like most of the people who live here, we are native Saudis. We come  from people who settled in the Arabian Peninsula many thousands of  years ago.  We speak the Arabic language in our country and many people who work in businesses also learn to speak English.  I think that English sounds hard, and sometimes I hope I won't need to learn it.
My favorite food is shikamba.  It is a creamy lamb meatball stew.  It might sound gross, but it tastes really good.  My brother likes onions stuffed with meat and rice.  I do too, but not as much as shikamba.  My mama always makes a salad for dinner every day.  She puts in apples, dates, walnuts, lettuce, lemon juice, and meat.  My brother thinks it's yucky, but I love it.  Mama's favorite drink is Arab tea.  My brother and I love lemonade. The most popular foods in my country are dates, lamb, and rice.  Because we are Muslims, we are not allowed to eat pork or drink alcohol.

One of my friend's papa's has two wives.  My papa only has one.  It is very hard for my friend's papa because first he had to get permission from his other wife to marry another woman.  Then he had to get the same amount of goods for each wife.  We have many other rules here, too.  Women and men have to work separately.  Whatever a women does can change the way people think about the family, so they have to be careful about what they do.

Thank you for reading ^_^
